Bridport, Dorset based Stompin' Dave has worked exclusively as a musician, he has released over thirty albums and made well over two hundred and fifty festival appearances, including some major ones such as Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, and Bestival. A former member of former UK Blues Band of the Year, The Producers. Dave was nominated for a British Blues Award in 2014.
Lucy Piper has over the past few years spent many nights performing in Mississippi, USA 'juke joints' alongside many top musicians, including the multi Blues Music Award nominee Watermelon Slim, and Robert Kimbrough Senior, son of one of the all time greats of hill country blues, Junior Kimbrough.
In 2019 and 2020 Lucy worked with double Grammy Award winning label Ruf Records on their annual 'Blues Caravan'. As well as appearing on Ryan Perry's album High Risk, Low Reward which was nominated for a Blues Music Award 2020 (Universally recognized as the highest award in blues.)
In the UK Lucy is currently living in Exeter, Devon and performs with a plethora of different artists. Lucy is a former member of the band Junkyard Angels, fronted by Julian Piper. The band performed across the UK and Europe often as the backing band for touring blues musicians from the USA.
Earlier this year Dave and Lucy released an album Nothing But Trouble featuring eleven original Stompin' Dave songs "one mighty little gem...The sound is authentic, with a richness that's as good as any of the best blues albums." Blues In Britain.
Months later Dave & Lucy have just completed another album We Can Talk In Person Blues. Featuring fifteen more original Stompin' Dave songs. “Great guitar work, fine singing and authentic lyrics and melodies.” Blues In The South.
Joining Dave and Lucy will be the one and only Earl Jackson on bass guitar. When he is not fronting his own, much in demand, award winning, rock n roll, and blues bands. Or promoting and or MCing as part of the Boogaloo Promotions team, alongside Blues Matters Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Monica Madgwick.
Earl is appearing with many top blues acts in a supporting role on bass, drums, or guitar. These have included top pianists Ben Waters and Jim Hammond, as well as many appearances alongside Stompin' Dave. "Entertainment with a capital 'e'" Mad Rat Magazine
